The Global Marijuana March took over Toronto streets this past Saturday with a record number of tokers in attendance. The crowd of approximately 20,000 made for the largest marijuana march in the world on a day when cities around the globe celebrate smoking the herb. Police presence was minimal and those in attendance were helpful and jovial. The Freedom Festival which normally accompanies the march, and is held in Queen’s Park, did not take place this year due to permit restrictions. That didn’t stop the puff friendly revellers from enjoying a sunny afternoon baking in the park.
